About Mir G.

This is MEeee!

In the picture above I'm showing my "excited" face because I was on my way home from a business trip that I didn't want to go on 3 months after marrying my beloved.

That should tell you a little about me right there, for a girl who never set her mind on getting married or planned her life around having a family because she was too busy making plans and trying to accomplish her life goals, she fell pretty hard for a sweet man and couldn't wait to start having babies!

What I like to do:
Write... free style, academic, editorial pieces, controversial pieces, speeches
Draw... I'm by no means great, but its relaxing. Colored pencils are cool!
Crochet... blankets, I've made doilies, I would like to learn more so I saved a bunch of websites on how to read patterns.
Play games... board games, card games, ball games
Play outdoors... Hiking, swimming, camping, walking at the park
Talk... in spurts, sometimes its nice to be quiet, but sometimes you just need to pow-wow with your girls or your man!
Read... As a youth I love Christian Romance novels (Thank you mother, aunt, and grandma who were obsessed with Janet Oak! I also found the Sierra Jensen and Christy Miller series on my.. Mom's these are great for establishing morals and faith in your budding tween and teen daughters!) Now I find I love biographies, inspirational books, books that teach me something through a story I can relate to and get swept away in the journey of the author.
Yoga... its awesome! I love core strengthening, but I also love how it relieves the mind and spirit of stress and worry, even for a few moments. And I never relax as well as when you come to the end of a practice!

Proudest Accomplishments:
Putting myself through college beginning at age 17
Receiving my Bachelor of Arts at 21
Learning to lobby for nonprofit causes at age 16
Meeting State Reps and a Senator and telling them why Abstinence Education was the way to empower youth
Getting myself out of credit card debt at 22

Dreams/Goals I still have (personal and not related to being a wife or mother):
Running my own business where I can let my creative juices flow on the regular, engaging my brain!
Contributing to a nonprofit that empowers women (mentor, makeover, mediator?)
Do something to improve my community
Travel to foreign countries
Serve Christians/witness to people in foreign countries
Write a book... something meaningful... not a novel

What I never want to live without:
My Faith
My Husband
My mind
Use of my hands and arms at the very least (should the rest of my body fail due to a tragedy)

Favorite Verses:
(from memory... you should probably look these up for yourself)
1 Thessolonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice Always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks for this is the will in Christ Jesus for you."
Proverbs 8:11 "For wisdom is far better than rubies and no other desire may be compared with her."
Isaiah 41:10 "For I am the Lord your God. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Anything else you want to know? Just ask! Know too much already? That's the problem with talkers.. we can say too much sometimes ;-)
